Vessel Damaged In High Winds Last Week

A 24ft vessel “dragged her moorings in high winds” and was receiving damage on the rocks at Devil’s Hole on January 17th.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “A member of the public reported to Bermuda Radio that a vessel approximately 24 ft in length had dragged her moorings in high winds and was currently receiving damage on the rocks at Devil’s Hole, Harrington Sound.

“There was difficulty establishing the vessels identity due to conflicting identification numbers and Bermuda Radio were unable to contact the owner until the following day. The vessel was lifted out of the water for repairs on Tuesday 21st January.”
