Warwick parish has the same issue. To be clear, I don’t think anyone is opposed to kite flying and having a some fun, that’s our Bermuda tradition, but to put up a kite that sounds like a buzz saw for hours at a time is just selfish…I have to close all my windows and doors to try, unsuccessfully to muffle the noise. I cannot relax outside in my own yard, and it drives dogs in the neighborhood crazy. PLEASE fly your kite for a while, but BE CONSIDERATE….and TAKE IT DOWN. It’s to the point where people are looking for the string to cut it down for you….not very neighborly but having to listen to that noise for hours wears down our patience.

Its simple…take de hummas off and play ya humma mix tape through ya headphones while you fly ya kite.

    • Toodle-oo says:

But I’m not pissing other people off if I have my headphones on. I wanna be a selfish and thoughtless idiot , I’m entitled to it after all .. lol

I don’t have any issue with grown men flying kites all day everyday in fact they can do whatever they want to. I do have a problem with them flying kites that make an obnoxious screaming sound that can only be meant to irritate people. I love the tradition of flying kites at Easter and build at least two kites each year and enjoy flying them then.

So go fly a kite as they say just do not irritate other people while you are flying it….simple right?

There are noise laws on the books. Enforce them. There is nothing to discuss.
