Attempted Robbery At ScooterMart In Paget

Two men entered ScooterMart in Paget and attempted to rob the store, however they “were unsuccessful in their attempt and left riding a motorcycle west along Lover’s Lane.”

A police spokesperson said, “At around 11:30am on 9th March 2020, police responded to a report of two men dressed in dark clothing, who entered the ScooterMart and attempted to rob the store located on Lovers Lane in Paget.

“The men were unsuccessful in their attempt and left riding a motorcycle west along Lover’s Lane.

“Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen two men on a motorcycle acting suspiciously in the Rural Hill / Harbour Road area, prior to or after 11:30am, or anyone who may have information regarding this incident to call Constable Ian Taitt in the Specialist Investigations Crime Division on 247-1744.”

    So, I do have information. I called 247 1744 as listed above at 6:50pm tonight and it rang 18 times and no answer and no voicemail.

    Come on BPS. I will try again between 9am – 5pm I guess as that must be when they are working. This needs fixing.

    Good on the owner for foiling this attempt. Whenever I hear of a robbery it makes me sick. The vast majority of Bermudians are out here busting out humps trying to make ends meet and you have unsavory characters who try to take the easy road. Go out and get a damn job like the rest of us, most of us have two, surely you can find one.
