Bermuda Charge announced a three-year partnership deal with Scooter Mart.

A spokesperson said, “In a dynamic move set to ignite the engines of excitement, Bermuda Charge, organiser of the renowned annual Motor Fest event, proudly announces an exhilarating deal confirming Scooter Mart will continue as the show’s title sponsor for the next 3 years.

“As part of this landmark partnership, the event will be officially named “Scooter Mart Motor Fest” and will continue to be presented by Bermuda Charge throughout the duration of the 3-year agreement. This rebranding underscores the significance of Scooter Mart’s role as the title sponsor, and serves as a testament to its commitment in amplifying Bermuda’s unique motor culture and camaraderie.

“Scooter Mart Motor Fest will roar back onto Front Street on Sunday 30 June, 2024. The festival promises to be bigger and better than ever, featuring a dazzling display of custom bikes and autos, heart-pumping entertainment, powerboat racing, and a high-octane charity ride-out to close the show.

David Cahill of Bermuda Charge said, “We’re so happy to confirm Scooter Mart as the title sponsor of Motor Fest for the next three years! Nick Thomson and his team have played such a big part in stimulating the Bermuda economy in recent months, giving back to the community and innovating in the transport industry. Their commitment to the show is yet another example of that. Preparations are well underway for Scooter Mart Motor Fest on 30 June. This will be our sixth annual event. The show will take over Front Street to showcase the island’s beautifully decorated bikes and cars in an action-packed, family-friendly festival. Entrance is free for all spectators, and as usual, we expect several thousand people to attend. Tickets are only required for show and ride participants, and our target this year is 400+ riders for the end-of-show charity motorcade.”

Nick Thompson of Scooter Mart said, “We are thrilled to support Motor Fest for the next three years! This show brings so many great things about Bermuda to the centre stage: our community spirit, motorsports action, and hot bikes! Our bike culture here is second to none. We grow up with bikes, and they are a rite of passage rooted deep in tradition. The show continues to grow yearly, and my team and I love being a part of it. It’s awesome to see thousands of spectators in attendance, all engaging with show vendors and participants, smiling, and taking home photos, memories and stories.”

The spokesperson said, “Scooter Mart Motor Fest, presented by Bermuda Charge, will officially open to the public at 12 noon, and judging for the various categories of custom and original [restored] cars and bikes, will begin. Hundreds of beautifully presented bikes are expected to show, as well as more than 40 immaculately detailed autos. Following a successful collaboration last year, the Bermuda Power Boat Association will also be racing in Hamilton Harbour to bring even more action to the festival.

“Acrobats, dancers, entertainers, and vendors will add flavour to the day, and over 70 exhibition tents will offer products and services from the auto, motorcycle, and marine industries. The Greenlight Energy Eco Village will display the latest tech innovations in Bermuda, including e-bikes, kick scooters and EVs, as well as eco-friendly solutions for day-to-day living. There will be a Hydration Station positioned in the Greenlight Energy Eco Village for all attendees.

“The Action Arena will showcase hair-raising skills from local motorsport clubs, and Scooter Mart will host a Top Rider contest. The highly anticipated CG Slow Race will also return this year, and there is a battle for the win with last year’s race ending in a dead heat between the finalists. As the engines roar to life and the anticipation reaches a fever pitch, all eyes turn toward the horizon, where the future of automotive excitement awaits.

“15% of participant ticket sales go directly to registered charity Greenrock, who dedicate their attention to keeping our island beautiful for the next generation.

“Early Bird tickets starting at $25 are now available at PTIX. The direct link for tickets is ptix.bm/motorfest and full details of the day can be found at bermudacharge.com.

“The show is free of charge for spectators.”
