Impact Mentoring Academy Virtual Open House
Impact Mentoring Academy [IMA] will be hosting a virtual open house for parents and students from April 28 to April 30.
A spokesperson said, “Impact Mentoring Academy will be hosting a virtual open house this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
“The single-gender academy has been in full swing even through the Covid-19 ‘Shelter in Place.’ Moving to a virtual platform, classes have continued, including PE.”
Academy Principal Shayne Scott said, “Our teachers have been quite innovative in navigating the challenging circumstances and have been able to provide at least five hours of instructional face time daily.”
Executive Director Chris Crumpler said, “This is step one. We are also investigating the possibility of offering online classes to assist parents with keeping their students occupied in educational pursuits during this time.”
The spokesperson said, “IMA is also partnering with Collaborate BDA to bring educational services to the community at large at no cost to parents.
“Open house details; parents and male students from the following year levels are invited to attend:
- Primary 5 & 6
- Middle school levels 1 – 3
- Senior school levels 1 -3
- Dates: April 28-30
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00p.m.
