Local Importers Urged To Pick Up Containers
Stevedoring Services Limited is encouraging local importers to pick up their containers as soon as possible in order to avoid congestion on the Hamilton Port.
A spokesperson said, “In an effort to maintain safety, efficiency and relieve congestion on the Hamilton Port, we encourage all importers to pick up their containers at the earliest opportunity.
“We are starting to see congestion and would like to ensure that we are able to move containers in and out of the port and maintain the shipping schedules.
“As you are aware, Stevedoring Services Limited operates in a very small space and the ability to do so safely and effectively requires us all to work together to rotate full containers out and empty containers in on a regular basis.
