Bermuda Coast Guard Tows Disabled Vessel

The Bermuda Coast Guard towed a 20ft vessel to Dockyard after it became disabled due to running out of fuel.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre receives a 911 call from a person on the 20ft vessel Why Not Us 2, with one person onboard, advising the vessel was disabled due to running out of fuel, but secure at anchor just North from Devonshire Dock.

“Bermuda Radio commenced marine broadcasts to all vessel in the vicinity without response, tasking a Coast Guard unit a short while later. The Bermuda Coast Guard arrives on scene and subsequently tows the vessel safely to Dockyard to refuel.”
