City Of Hamilton Launches Refreshed Website
The City of Hamilton announced the launch of its newly refreshed website which they said is “designed to be more user-friendly with improved navigation and functionality and in line with its corporate branding.”
A spokesperson said, “Created with the user experience in mind, the City has included new features and endeavoured to make more application and payment processes available online, reducing the need to visit City Hall for certain services.
“Transactions such as parking and construction permit applications, the booking of event venues, including the Earl Cameron Theatre and City parks, amongst others, can now be completed online.”
“The new site also features a City calendar affording users a quick look at upcoming events and official City meetings. The latest City news, from press releases to traffic notices, is front and centre on the home page and users will be greeted with an offer to sign up for the CityZen, the City’s invaluable electronic newsletter that is sent out every week.”
City of Hamilton Event and Marketing Manager, Jessica Astwood, said of the refreshed website, “We were long overdue for an upgrade. We live in an ever-changing world, especially when it comes to technology. A formative presence online is where we need to be and we hope the new automated processes will bring more users to the site.
“Users will be able to explore all that’s on offer from the history of the City, to upcoming events and getting to know our current Council members a bit better. We have more to do but this is a solid start. It’s still a work in progress, we expect to have kinks along the way, but we hope that the public takes the time to visit the site, engage and take advantage of the services now available.”
“The City of Hamilton can be found online at www.cityofhamilton.bm where users can also connect directly to the City’s social platforms on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
“*Note – due to the upgrade and increased online application processes, visitors to the new site may need to empty the cache on their preferred browser to view the refreshed website.”
