Webinar: Supporting Black Owned Businesses
The Bermuda Economic Development Corporation [BEDC] will be holding a free webinar entitled “The Importance of Supporting Black Owned Businesses” on Wednesday [July 1].
A spokesperson said, “Given the current movements and discussions taking place globally as well as in Bermuda, please join us for a timely and engaging webinar with our US partner, entrepreneur Shelly Bell of Black Girl Ventures and a panel of Bermuda entrepreneurs as we discuss:
- Entrepreneurship as a tool of empowerment;
- Moving past the challenges of owning a business for people of colour;
- How the #BLM movement is evolving the landscape for black and brown entrepreneurs;
- How and why black owned businesses need the community’s support.
