Tyler Butterfield Competes In Ironman VR10
Bermuda’s Tyler Butterfield competed in the Ironman VR10 Pro Challenge yesterday [June 7] against three other professional triathletes.
The event website said, “The IRONMAN VR10 Pro Challenge will see four professional female athletes battle it out on Saturday, June 6, while four professional male athletes will compete on Sunday, June 7.
“For the first time ever, the Pro Challenge broadcast will feature the 3 km run leg! For the bike, pros will utilize augmented reality from ROUVY, IRONMAN Virtual Club’s Official Virtual Cycling Partner.
“The pros will compete on ROUVY’s IRONMAN 5150 Eagleman course.
“A Bermudian living in Boulder, Tyler Butterfield, 37, is an IRONMAN champion [Cozumel 2019] and multiple IRONMAN 70.3 champion.
“In the past decade, he has finished in the top three in the IRONMAN 70.3 distance ten times. He and his wife, Nikki, a former pro triathlete, operate a small family farm and equestrian facility.”
