‘We Add Our Voice To The Global Movement’
The PLP said they “mourn the memory of George Floyd and all those victims of race-based violence” and “add our voice to the global movement calling for justice” and “to the global movement calling for peace.”
The PLP tweeted the photo below, saying: “As we mourn the life of a tireless advocate for racial and social justice, protesters across the United States are crying out for that justice. Today, we mourn the life of Dr. Hodgson who used her pen, her protest, and her voice to advocate for equality.
“We also mourn the memory of George Floyd and all those victims of race-based violence. We add our voice to the global movement calling for justice. And, we add our voice to the global movement calling for peace.”
In addition to the large scale protests seen across the United States, people around the world are also joining the movement, with thousands protesting in nations including the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Denmark, Germany, Canada, and more.
