August 21, 2020

Premier David Burt has extended by three months the date by which the Commission of Inquiry into Historic Losses of Land in Bermuda should submit its findings and recommendations.

A government spokesperson said, “Per the attached instrument, Premier The Hon. E. David Burt JP MP has extended by three months the date by which the Commission of Inquiry into Historic Losses of Land in Bermuda should submit its findings and recommendations.

“The original date of 31st August 2020 was extended to 30th November 2020, or until such time as the Hon. Premier may designate. The extension was necessitated in order to accommodate requests from persons who were interested in making a submission to the Commission, but who were unable to access relevant departments or organizations during the recent shelter in place regime.”
