Four People Arrested After Man Assaulted
Four people — three male and one female — have been arrested after they were allegedly seen on CCTV attacking a man in the Elliott Street parking lot early this morning [Aug 17].
A police spokesperson said, “Three men and one woman are now in police custody, having been arrested after they were seen on CCTV, attacking another man in the Elliott Street parking lot, at around 2:20 a.m. today, Monday 17th August.
“The victim was seen to be hit several times with an unknown object, and was repeatedly punched about the head and body by his assailants.
“The victim, a vulnerable person, escaped his attackers, and was later seen by attending officers close to where the incident occurred. He was transported by police to King Edward VII Hospital, where he was attended to for his injuries, which were not considered life-threatening.
“It is anticipated the four suspects in this matter will soon be appearing before the courts.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident, is asked to contact 211, or the main police number, 295-0011.”
