I wonder if now the PLP Government will accept the BTA as a good thing

    • Anonymous says:

Probably not until they can install one of their puppets in the CEO position. Is Glenn Jones just “acting” at the moment?

  2. sage says:

Would be nice if the bank would pay interest on savings.

    • Frank says:

Perhaps should could a professional financial advisor (maybe at butterfield itself?), that way you can invest your savings and grow them.

  3. Joe Real says:

I wonder if the oba will accept that the experiment is over.

    • CHRIS says:

Interesting! I was just about to say the same about the PLP supporters! When will THEY wake up!

    • Joe Bloggs says:

What experiment? Having a Tourism Authority that is not driven by political maneuvering?

      • Joe Real says:

THE OBA/UBP experiment that has now left what was once a strong party into a jet X GATE comedy club.

This strong party I’m referring held power in Bermuda’s House of Assembly continuously from 1968 to 1998!

        • Joe Bloggs says:

The UBP is dead and has been dead for many years. That is a fact. The last leader of the UBP is now a PLP MP.

The majority of members of the UBP quit and joined the BDA, changed its progressive ideas, drove out some of the founding members and renamed it the OBA. That party is now politically irrelevant.

That is Bermuda’s political history over the past 20 or so years.

So now I repeat my original question, what experiment? Having a Tourism Authority that is not driven by political maneuvering?

          • Joe Real says:

The OBA is the UBP. Your members only change the name because the black voters and members departed. If you say anything different it clearly shows denial.

          • OBA supporter no more says:

As a former member of the BDA party I will say this. The majority of members didn’t come from the UBP. A mixture of us came from the PLP and UBP.

We had finally created a party with a mix cross section of Bermuda. We only fully joined forces with the entire UBP to create the OBA because as we all know the UBP boys as Bermudians call them have deep pockets.

After the OBA won the election the party changed into a full auto control UBP, which lead to us being defeated last election. We got defeated so badly because all the members left us and returned to the PLP giving us the worst beating in party politics because now the oba was the UBP again.

LOL…you don’t realize that the PLP getting Bermuda into Billions in debt…is the failed experiment.
It’s hilarious watching you cut your noses off.
