Smith Group Back-To-School Giveaway
The Smith Group of Companies will be helping out the community by providing students with backpacks and the essential school supplies at a giveaway set to be held on Saturday [Sept 5] at 54 Ord Road.
A spokesperson said, “The Smith Group of Companies will be providing students with backpacks and the essential school supplies that our young people need to succeed in the classroom.
“Bermuda is facing a global pandemic and many families are in need. The demand for assistance with school supplies is significantly higher than before the pandemic hit.
“For families that already struggle week to week to provide for the most basic needs of their children, the beginning of the school year can be an especially stressful and worrying time for parents who cannot find the extra dollars to re-equip their children with the supplies required.
“The Smith Group of companies will be hosting its First Annual Back to School Drive. We aim to support in excess of 100 young Bermudian children with backpacks filled with supplies. We encourage everyone to come out this Saturday from 11am- 1:30pm as we equip our students for success.”
