NSC North Field Closed For World Tens Series

October 13, 2020

The North Field at the National Sports Centre will be closed from Monday, October 19, to Sunday, November 8, as it hosts the inaugural rugby World Tens Series.

A spokesperson said, “There will be no access for walkers, joggers, outdoor fitness equipment users or any other form of recreational activity during this time.

“The Series is a new international tournament for eight professional teams from around the world. It is hoped that the 2021 tournament will be expanded to include 16 teams, playing in 12 different locations around the world.”

Craig Tyrrell, the NSC SVP Operations manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to host this event, but it does mean that, for a short time while we prepare for the tournament and during the tournament, the North Field will have to be closed to the walkers, joggers and recreational users. We do apologize for any inconvenience.”
