Video: BUT Celebrating World Teachers’ Day
The Bermuda Union of Teachers [BUT] is taking part in Education International’s 24 hour virtual celebration “highlighting teachers around the world to commemorate World Teachers’ Day 2020.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Union of Teachers is proud to share our address to Education International, who will be hosting a 24 hour virtual celebration highlighting teachers around the world to commemorate World Teachers’ Day 2020.
BUT Presidents World Teachers Day Message:
“The theme of the BUT’s contribution to the virtual celebration is ‘Teaching Through Adversity,’ and it outlines how Bermuda’s teachers coped with the many challenges brought on by the Covid-19 global pandemic in 2020.
“The roughly four minute presentation, which will be available to an international audience, features Bermuda’s most precious resource: her students and teachers.
“The wonderful images are accompanied by the voice of BUT President Nishanthi Bailey delivering a heartwarming message that is sure to fill every BUT member with pride, joy, and a renewed faith that they are valued beyond words.”
