Photos: Burnie, Roberts Win Bermuda Match Play

[Updated with photos] The Bermuda Match Play Championships concluded today [Nov 15] at the Port Royal Golf Course, with Jevon Roberts and Katrin Burnie claiming the titles.

Men’s Champion – Jevon Roberts & Ladies Champion – Katrin Burnie

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Match Play Championships were concluded today at Port Royal Golf Course and Jevon Roberts was crowned as the Men’s Champion after beating Matt Gorrell 1 Up in the final match.

“The match was all square after #16, and Jevon went 1 Up on 17 with a par, but showed his form on #18 after a wayward tee shot and an approach shot over the back of the green he managed an impressive flop shot followed by 20 foot putt for par to take the title.

“In the Ladies Championship Division, Katrin Burnie took the Ladies Championship title after beating Linda Down on the 16 hole and a similar scenario took place in the Senior Championship Division when Ian Page defeated Zane Desilva on the 16th hole.”
