Clarien Appoints Hanson, Melvin & Richardson
Clarien Bank announced the appointment of three new team members – Jennifer Hanson, the new SVP, Head of Trust and Family Office, Alistair Melvin, Investment Analyst, and Dajon Richardson, Associate Investment Analyst.
A spokesperson said, “Clarien Bank Limited today announced the appointment of three new team members, including Jennifer Hanson, the new SVP, Head of Trust and Family Office.
“Ms. Hanson will play an integral leadership role in the strategic development of Clarien Wealth Management, with a focus on Clarien’s ultra-high net worth and Family Office client base. Reporting to Bruce Jackson, Clarien’s Chief Wealth Management Officer, Ms. Hanson will focus on providing first class services to Clarien’s growing Family Office client base.
“Other appointments include: Alistair Melvin, Investment Analyst, and Dajon Richardson, Associate Investment Analyst at Clarien Investments Limited [CIL]. Both Mr. Melvin and Mr. Richardson will support the organization in its efforts to build upon its bespoke wealth management business in the Region, reporting to Clarien’s Head of Investment Strategy and supporting the bank’s Investment Managers.”

“Jennifer, Alistair and Dajon each bring with them a unique skill set and expertise in the financial services industry, and will no doubt be an asset to the Clarien Bank team,” Mr Truran concluded.
The company added, “Ms Hanson brings with her 25 years’ professional expertise, most recently serving as Chief Financial and Administration Officer at HG [Bermuda] Limited. While there, she was responsible for the accounting, finance and administration functions for HG [Bermuda] Limited and HG [Bermuda] II Limited, former parent company for Hay Group, a consulting firm with operations in 48 countries.
“Prior to that, she served as Senior Manager at Arthur Morris and Company Limited, a financial services firm on the Island; as well as a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Accounting Services Department with a focus on high net worth and ultra-high net worth Trust and Corporate clients. In addition to a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, Ms Hanson is a Chartered Professional Accountant [CPA, CA] and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners [TEP].
“Newly appointed Investment Analyst, Mr. Melvin is a CFA Level 3 candidate and last served as an Investment Coordinator at Bermuda Investment Advisory Services [BIAS] Ltd, based in George Town, Cayman Islands. He is a graduate of Kingston University of London, having earned a degree in Marketing Management.
“Dajon Richardson, a former Junior Analyst Trainee at Wafra Financial & Management Services Ltd., graduated from St Mary’s University in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, having majored in Finance and Economics. He is a CFA Level 2 candidate and has previous banking experience, having worked as a summer intern at Butterfield Bank in 2018 and at HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited between 2014 and 2016.”
