Football: Premier & First Division Results
Footballers in the Premier Division and First Division were in action on Sunday, with Devonshire Cougars, PHC Zebras, Devonshire Colts, Young Men’s Social Club, Vasco, and Boulevard Blazers all earning wins.
Premier Division: Devonshire Cougars 3 – Southampton Rangers 0
At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Cougars jumped out to a 3 – 0 first-half lead thanks to a hat-trick from Elisha Darrell as they cruised to a victory over the Southampton Rangers.
Darrell scored in the 1st minute, in the 18th minute Darrell doubled the lead when he side-footed a cross from Che-Kai Caisey, and Darrell then made it 3 – 0 in the 31st minute when he followed up a shot and scored from close range.
Premier Division: PHC Zebras 2 – St. George’s Colts 1
At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras defeated the St. George’s Colts 2 – 1.
Kenton Ottley gave the St. George’s Colts the lead in the 25th minute, but two minutes later Marco Warren equalized for the PHC Zebras.
Makai Joell gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the53rd minute, and that goal would prove to be the winner.
Premier Division: Somerset Eagles 0 Devonshire Colts 4
At the White Hill Field, the Devonshire Colts defeated the Somerset Eagles 4 – 0.
After a scoreless first half, the Devonshire Colts got two goals apiece from Jahzardae Samuels and Razhir Jones as they claimed their second win of the season.
First Division: Ireland Rangers 1 Young Men Social Club 4
At Malabar, Young Men Social Club defeated Ireland Rangers 4 – 1.
First Division: Flanagan’s Onions 1 – Vasco 2
At the BAA Field, Vasco picked up their first points of the season with a 2 – 1 win over the Flanagan’s Onions.
Eric Correia scored both goals for Vasco, while Akim Johnston scored for the Flanagan’s Onions.
First Division: Boulevard Blazers 5 – Wolves 2
At the BAA Field, the Boulevard Blazers defeated Wolves 5 – 2. The Boulevard Blazers got two goals from Tyree Robinson, and Teh-Kei Taylor, while Naseem Augustus added the other.
Mackih McGowan and Vincent Minors scored a goal each for Wolves.
