Video: BNV With OBA’s Kempe & Mathias

November 2, 2020

Catherine Kempe and Justin Mathias – who both standing for OBA Party Chairperson – are joining Bernews this morning [Nov 2] for the latest episode in the Bernews News & Views series.

An email previously sent out by the OBA said, “Two people have put their names forward with the intention to seek the office of Party Chair and have triggered the need for a vote to take place on November 3rd.

“Catherine Kempe most recently ran for the OBA in Constituency 14 in the recent General Election and has been in the post of Deputy Chair for since August 2020 and formerly was party secretary. She is passionate about many issues including her family, health care and advancing women in the leadership of Bermuda.

“Over the years Justin Mathias has served as the Future Bermuda Alliance Chair, Opposition Senator, Deputy Chair and a short stint as Party Chair in 2018. Justin is passionate about the future of our Country, with an emphasis on the inclusion of young persons and women in our political system.”

This is one of the changes underway within the OBA — who maintained just 6 seats in the 36-seat House of Assembly in last month’s General Election — as the OBA also has new leader, with veteran MP Cole Simons elected by acclamation.

This woman is living in a dream World she made me LOL when she stated the OBA polls increased because of the negative run advertisements.

Look at her facial expression when Justin said “although it might excite the base it’s not going to buy you votes in the middle that’s how you win election” spoken like a BOSS!
