Man In Critical Condition In ICU After Collision

A man is in critical condition in the ICU after he sustained serious head injuries in a collision in Sandys, the police have confirmed.

A police spokesperson said, “A 38 year old male is listed in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, after he sustained serious head injuries in a serious road traffic collision involving three motorcycles.

“The collision occurred shortly after 7:15 p.m. on Sunday 1st November, on Somerset Road, Sandy’s Parish, in the vicinity of Four Star Pizza.

“The injured male was attended to at the scene by EMTs and transported to hospital via ambulance.

“The two other motorcyclists sustained minor injuries.

“The roadway was closed off as Traffic Collision Investigators and officers from the Forensics Support Unit processed the scene.

“Anyone with information on this incident, is asked to call 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.”
