BUEI To Reopen On Thursday January 21
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI] will reopen to the visiting public on Thursday, January 21st.
A spokesperson said, “BUEI will reopen to the visiting public on Thursday, January 21st, welcoming locals, and visitors alike each Thursday and Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm.
“While the exhibits have been closed to the public, the BUEI team has used the time to embed the COVID safety protocols that were introduced last year,” said Karla Lacey, BUEI CEO. “And we’ve now earned the Safe Travels Destination from the World Travel and Tourism Council.”
“One example of BUEI’s enhanced protocols is the ability for individuals and groups meeting Government mandated size limits to pre-book entry. While not a requirement, pre-booking ensures any wait-time to enter the exhibition space is kept to a minimum.
“Our knowledgeable and enthusiastic team will be overseeing activities throughout the facility designed to safely engage all ages” said Lacey.
“Having received an A+ Rating from the Department of Health COVID protocol implementation, BUEI’s popular School Break Camps for ages 5-13 returns for the week of February 8-12th. Although currently full, registration for Spring Break camps will open the first week of February.
“We’re proud to again be able to safely have children back in our hands-on learning environment,” said Lacey. “The Education Team has proven they can deliver a dynamic and fun camp while keeping kids safe.”
