Saltus Recognize Staff With Long Service Awards
Saltus Grammar School recently awarded 15 of its employees, who collectively celebrated 240 years of service, with Long Service Awards.
The employees include Joy Oatley [30 years], Mario Foote [30 years], Alexander White [25 years], Mary Hopkins [25 years], Alisa Sadeh [15 years], Paul Wright [15 years], Patra Phillips [10 years], Darrin Lewis [10 years], Jeanne Bean [10 years], Jill Roberts [10 years], Kathy Pacheco [10 years], Patrick Mahon [10 years], Damon Mussenden [10 years], Carol Jack [10 years], Haley Trott [10 years] and Michael Hooper [10 years].
Jon Beard, Deputy Head, said: “Faculty and staff are the lifeblood of any school. We are fortunate to have such professional, caring and loyal employees at Saltus.
“We were pleased recently to recognise those who have achieved significant milestones in their time at Saltus and to thank all of our staff for their incredible contribution, especially during these difficult times as we all deal with the particular issues the pandemic has created for schools.”
Congrats to those staff members but none come close to Jon Beard who must be close to 45 years at Saltus if not longer. Unfortunately, long term staff are more often viewed as a liability due to higher cost vs. younger staff. Nice to know there are institutions that appreciate long serving staff.
