After Canada, the SMNT is scheduled to host Aruba on Tuesday, March 30th, at the National Sports Centre. President of the BFA, Mark Wade said, “The World Cup is the pinnacle of world football and we are happy to finally get the games underway. We hope to see a great performance from our Gombey Warriors in our opening match against Group B favorites Canada which should set the stage for success against the other teams in our group.”

“The winner of Group B will be playing the winner of Group E in a pre-determined match- up. There will be a home and away fixture of this Second Round to determine who will progress to the Final Round, with the other Second Round winners.

“The Final Round will see the three Second Round winners join Honduras, United States, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Jamaica. This Round will feature a round-robin round of all 8 teams and will commence September 2021. The top three teams of this Final Round will qualify for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.”
