Garden Club Of Bermuda Donates $5K To KBB
Members of the Garden Club of Bermuda made a donation of $5,000 to Keep Bermuda Beautiful this week.
Garden Club President, Jan Macdonald and Garden Club Representative to the Keep Bermuda Beautiful Board, Susan Black presented the nonprofit organisation with a cheque for $5000 to sponsor cleanup kits.
These kits, which include litter grabbers, are given to volunteers who pick up trash in our public parks, neighbourhoods, and roadsides.
Katie Berry, KBB Executive Director, said, “Keep Bermuda Beautiful is incredibly thankful to the members of The Garden Club for their generous donation of $5000 to assist us with the purchase of litter grabbers and cleanup kits which we give to our dedicated volunteers.
“KBB has shared a longtime relationship with the Garden Club and we are thankful for their ongoing support of us and our mission to reduce waste and eliminate litter.
“Keep Bermuda Beautiful is thankful for the hard work of Susan Black in liaising with the two groups and wishes to offer their congratulations to the Garden Club on their 100th Anniversary!”
