Arrest Made After Event At Botanical Gardens
Someone has been arrested in connection with the event at Botanical Gardens, the police have confirmed.
This follows after the police attended the Botanical Gardens on the evening of March 5th after receiving reports that a large party was taking place, and according to the police “there were in excess of 100 persons at the event” and “no one was wearing masks and there was no social distancing.”
Following the incident, the Government advised that “all night-time events in government facilities, parks and beaches are cancelled until further notice.”
Speaking at the press conference today, Assistant Commissioner of Police Martin Weekes said, “We have arrested someone this week for the big event at the Botanical Gardens, they were in custody, in our cells yesterday for that.”

It would have been quite a scene to arrest 15 or 20 persons..its difficult to say from the officer,s point of view ,,,,who was in the first group of 25…Its a crazy situation….whoever signed the contract will have to deal with whatever went wrong…Government is correct to have off limits all future events on government property, at this time. I think more stringent enforcement at the very start by the organizers would have made it a pleasant event.

So what about the other party the weekend before? Where is the consistency in applying the law?
Why? Was it outside? Can the police prove that people did not respect personal space of say 3 to 6 ft? Masks being worn? This makes no sense as cops could quite correctly arrest everyone in town on a day to day basis as people are not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly with their nose out including politicans and cops within close proximity to others . Where is the scienctific studys that show cloth masks protect the person wearing them. We all should know by now that anything under an n95 mask is usless for any virus. The rule is if you can smell paint fumes then it doesnt work. Where and what information have people been listening to for the past year.
