HSBC ‘Enhanced Social Distancing Protocols’
HSBC Bermuda announced that effective Monday [March 29], the HSBC Harbourview, St. Georges and Somerset branches “will reintroduce enhanced social distancing protocols.”
A spokesperson said, “Due to the recent rise in the number of individuals testing positive for Covid-19 on the island, the bank has taken the decision to reintroduce enhanced social distancing protocols for the safety of staff and the public.
“This will include measures to limit footfall within in the branches and the closure of the Reid Street entrance of the Harbourview Branch.
“We regret any increase in wait times or inconvenience this decision may cause our customers.
“Branch hours will remain unchanged at 9am through 4pm. The Church Street Branch will remain closed until further notice.
“HSBC Bermuda is committed to serving and protecting the health of our customers and offering the same protection for our employees and the wider community. With this in mind, all customers are required to wear facial coverings or masks when on the Bank’s premises, in line with Government advice.
