MP Famous: Parish Pride Project This Saturday

March 19, 2021

“We would like to thank all who have come out to volunteer over the last 10 weeks. Whether they scraped, patched, painted or supplied food and drinks, their assistance has proven that community togetherness is still as strong as ever,” MP Chris Famous said.

MP Chris Famous said, “We are happy to report that we are on our final leg of our Christ Church Devonshire Project. All boundary walls have been power washed, scraped, patched and two coats of primer have been applied.

“This week Saturday, March 20th, weather permitting, we will be applying the top coats from 9am until 1pm.

“We would like to thank all who have come out to volunteer over the last 10 weeks. Whether they scraped, patched, painted or supplied food and drinks, their assistance has proven that community togetherness is still as strong as ever.

“We would also like to thank the following companies who have generously supplied paint and painting supplies:

  • Belvin’s Grocery
  • Bermuda Paint Company
  • Island Construction Services
  • Pembroke Paint
  • SAL Limited

“For those still wishing to volunteer or students needing community service hours, we look forward to seeing you this Saturday at Christ Church.

“In early April we will resume landscaping in different areas around Devonshire and Smith’s Parish.

“As always, snacks and refreshments will be supplied.”
