Gale Warning, Thunderstorm Advisory Issued
[Updated] The Bermuda Weather Service [BWS] has issued a Gale Warning and Thunderstorm Advisory for this evening [April 6].
The BWS posted the photo online, saying, “Heads up! Blustery weather continues tonight – a Gale Warning is in effect from late this evening, with sustained westerly to northwesterly winds up to gale force.
“There is also potential for storm force gusts after midnight, especially in and around showers or thunderstorms. A Thunderstorm Advisory has also been issued. For more information please check back regularly to www.weather.bm.”
Update 9.02pm: A Government spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Weather Service (BWS) advised this evening that the island will experience windy weather conditions later tonight.
“The BWS has issued a Gale Warning for late tonight and notes that there’s also the potential for storm force gusts after midnight. A thunderstorm advisory has also been issued.
“Motorists should exercise care and caution if they are on the roads tonight. The community can stay abreast of the severe weather developments by visiting www.weather.bm.”
