9,000 Vaccine Doses Sent To Trinidad & Tobago
Earlier today [May 24] the Government shipped “9,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine to Trinidad and Tobago on a private jet,” the Minister has confirmed.
As Bernews previously reported, Bermuda is donating Covid-19 vaccines to Trinidad and Tobago as “we have an overabundance of vaccines.”
In releasing the test results tonight, Health Minister Kim Wilson said, “Earlier today, the Government of Bermuda shipped a quantity of 9,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine to Trinidad and Tobago on a private jet.
“Bermuda currently has more AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine stocks than we are likely to use before its expiry date, 30th June 2021, and we are seeking to assist our neighbours to the south by sharing doses that are in excess of our requirements.”
“Bermuda does expect to use all our supply of the Pfizer–BioNTech vaccines. We are unable to share this as it has reached the maximum number of times it can be transported as recommended by the manufacturer,” Minister Wilson said.
In addition, Premier David Burt tweeted the photo below, saying: “Earlier today 9,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 Vaccine were dispatched from Bermuda to the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago.
“We have a moral obligation to help where we can & Prime Minister Rowley has confirmed that this donation will be put to good use. ”

“we have an overabundance of vaccines.” No, we don’t. The government has failed to convince half the population that they should take a simple precaution to protect themselves. This is an unforgivable failure of leadership.
Whose private jet was it and who paid for the fuel? We could have used all of those doses so to call it an over abundance is a lie or at least a mistruth.

Not just to protect themselves but also to ensure that they don’t spread it to someone else.
Ummm, no, the FDA has yet to grant authorization of this experimental injection so don’t blame govt for not “convincing people” to get it. That would be unethical.

So when the UK gave BDA vaccines the Premier labeled them as ‘trinkets.’ But when we give vaccines to other they are called ‘mercy flights’ accompanied by obligatory photo ops.
