Fashion Designer Launches Blog Series

May 4, 2021

Meagan Wellman, a Bermudian fashion designer based in London, recently launched a blog series entitled ‘The Corona Chronicles’ in which she “talks with friends to see how they have been coping during the lockdowns” amid the Covid-19 pandemic, including an episode filmed in Bermuda.

A spokesperson said, “Meagan Wellman has branched out from fashion design and has been taking her hand to creative direction through planning each of her blog series – The Corona Chronicles – a docu-fashion film, and photo shoots on M-SEW.com.”

Ms Wellman said, “I decided to take a break from designing as I have been re-branding my fashion line, M-SEW. I’ve always loved the creative direction part of the design process when it comes to photoshoots for campaigns.

“I have a love for film and photography but never saw myself getting into it this way. I believe the main lesson that this experience has taught me is how to adapt to change and be fearless when learning new skills.”

The spokesperson said, “Bermuda’s own fashion designer based in London, Meagan Wellman of the brand M-SEW has recently launched a blog series during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic – The Corona Chronicles. Wellman talks with friends to see how they have been coping during and after the first and second lockdowns while in London.

“Initially started as written interviews, the series has now expanded into filmed interviews that cross over into fashion films showcasing M-SEW’s basics. She also works with local music producers such as Aden Peets and Richard Basset for the original sounds featured in the series.

“Initially Wellman was back home for the holidays, but due to a third lockdown in the U.K in December 2020, her travel plans were changed. While on island, Wellman brought the Corona Chronicles series with her and has continued to interview locals about their time during the pandemic.

Ms Wellman said, “I want to shine a light on those that have managed to shift during this time. The changes due to the pandemic have effected us all – but how have we overcome the lulls of it all? How are we staying positive and finding new ways to keep going and keep hope alive?”

“Visit M-SEW at www.m-sew.com and watch the first Corona Chronicles episode based in Bermuda.”
