May 6, 2021

In celebration of Heritage Month, the Department of Culture and the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation is inviting people to sign up for the “Mini-Float Challenge”.

The Bermuda Government posted the graphic below on social media, saying: “It’s Heritage Month, and the Department of Culture and the Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation invites individuals, students, families, charities and companies to sign up for the “Mini-Float Challenge”.

“The mini-floats should reflect this year’s Heritage Month theme ‘Bermudian Resilience.’ Prizes will be awarded for Best Art Float, Best Natural Heritage Float and Best Upcycled Float.

“To help with your float creations, Rowe Spurling Paint Company, Butterfield and Vallis and BGA Wholesale Distributers, are generously providing 4×4 wooden pallets for free. Pallets can be collected from Kaleidescope’s parking lot starting today.

“Visit here to sign up for the Mini-Float Challenge. Submissions must be completed by May 24. Send your photographs and entry form to bermudaculture@gmail.com so we can review your mini-float creation.”
