Man Stabbed, Police Launch Investigation
An investigation has been launched into a stabbing incident after a 25-year-old Sandys parish man attended the hospital for treatment.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is investigating a stabbing incident that occurred this past weekend, after a 25-year-old Sandys parish man attended the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.
“Details are limited at this time. However, it is understood that the 25-year-old man sustained a serious stab wound to his chest – although at last check, the injury was described as not life threatening.
“Around 2:50am Sunday, 27th June, police officers were dispatched to the hospital to make initial inquiries, but few details regarding the circumstances were available at that time.
“It is believed that the Sandys parish resident was in the Somerset Road, Cambridge Road area late Saturday night and/or early Sunday morning, before being transported to hospital by a private car.
