Emergency Partial Road Closure Near Golf Course Path

Hotelco Golf Course Pump Repairs

Tuesday June 22nd, 2021

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that Hotelco will need to undertake emergency pump repairs along Bourne Drive at the Five Fort Golf Course path in St. George’s.

This partial road closure will commence Tuesday June 22nd, 2021 to be completed within a day. Working hours will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Motorists are asked to traverse carefully through the golf course designated area to detour around this section of closure.

Traffic control will be under Hotelco representatives and will be directed with a crew & signage.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Sullivan and Kenyon Wedding Ceremony and Reception is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [5] of those Regulations to Emily Boden – Bermuda Event Solutions Limited, permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble June 19, 2021 at the times and location as below, with the following conditions:

Persons attending the Sullivan and Kenyon wedding ceremony and reception must be able to demonstrate that they are fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus at least 3 days before June 19, 2021. Use of the SafeKey QR code that is issued by the Ministry of Health will denote that persons have been fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus in the past 72 hours.

Maximum number of persons permitted to attend: 100

Security to be present to ensure compliance with the conditions of the exemptions.

Times and locations:

4:30 pm – Unfinished Church, St. George’s Parish [Wedding Ceremony]
6:00 pm to 11:00 pm – Coral Beach Club, Paget Parish [Reception]

Contact information of persons in attendance at the event to be recorded for contact tracing. Information to be retained for 28 days post date of the event.

The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted according to section 5 [8] [b] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021.

The Bermuda Police Service or a Ministry of National Security Officer may attend the event and observe for compliance with these conditions

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Warwick Academy School Graduation Ceremony is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [5] of those Regulations to Dave Horan – Principal of Warwick Academy permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble June 18, 2021 between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm at 117 Middle Road, Warwick Parish [school campus] with the following conditions:

Persons attending the Warwick Academy School Graduation Ceremony must be able to demonstrate that they are fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus at least 3 days before June 18, 2021. Use of the SafeKey QR code that is issued by the Ministry of Health will denote that persons have been fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus in the past 72 hours.

Maximum number of persons permitted to attend: 160

Graduation ceremony to be held in school auditorium.

Security to be present at the event to ensure compliance with these conditions and applicable Public Health Regulations.

Name and contact details of persons attending the event to be recorded for purpose of contact tracing. Information is to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.

Adherence to all Public Health Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that BELCO will be continuing their trench work from Khyber Pass to Tamarind Vale, along Middle Road in Warwick.

The one lane closure will affect the eastbound lane.

These improvement works will continue from Khyber Pass on Thursday July 1st, 2021 through to Tamarind Vale on Friday October 29th, 2021.

Traffic controls will be under direction of BELCO representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals & signage.

The motoring public traveling west is advised to seek alternative routes via South Road, Harbour Road via Tamarind Vale to avoid this trench works section. Various detour routes signage will be placed as trench work progresses westward.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Lane Closures For Belco & Bldc Trench Works

Monday, June 28th, 2021 Through Friday, October 29th, 2021

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that BELCO will commence with trench works on Mullet Bay Road from Echo Lane junction to Tiger Bay at Penno’s Wharf in St. George’s. The trench work will be in the eastbound lane on Mullet Bay until it reaches Tiger Bay at Penno’s Wharf.

All residents are advised not to park on either side of Mullet Bay Road during this time frame.

The lane closure will commence from Monday, June 28th 2021 to Friday, October 29th, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, weekly from Monday through Saturday and trench work should reach 200 feet open section lengths at a time.

Motorists, especially construction vehicles and buses are asked to use caution when passing the open trench since it may at times be near the center yellow line and can be quite deep.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of Island Construction Services Ltd. representatives and will be managed through traffic control signs & signals.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
