2021 Hurricane Season: 27 Named Storm Days
The 2021 Atlantic hurricane season has “already produced 27 named storm days” which is “more named storm days than 5 full Atlantic seasons during the satellite era, Dr Philip Klotzbach noted.
Dr. Klotzbach — who is a research scientist in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University — tweeted the graphic below, saying, “The 2021 Atlantic hurricane season has already produced 27 named storm days. That is more named storm days than 5 full Atlantic seasons during the satellite era [since 1966]. These five seasons are: 1977, 1982, 1983, 1986 and 1991.”
