  1. Hmmm says:

When will we be allowed to get boosters? Seemingly existing supply of vaccines aren’t being used. Those who want should be able to have boosters.

  2. Danielle says:

If vaccinated Covid positives are not being hospitalized are there immunization metrics in place that the government feels could give us a better picture of when it will be safe ro return to normal?
Is it herd immunity? A percentage of vaccinated population?
Especially given that most who are vulnerable can now get vaccinated and there are no children in critical condition.

  3. Joe Bloggs says:

The key takeaway for the conspiracy theorists is this:

“According to data from the Ministry, … as far as hospitalizations … 0% are fully vaccinated.”

It seems that the 30 somethings are still the biggest group of spreaders.

I dread to see the statistics next week, after the socialising on Labour Day has incubated.

  4. Transparency says:

Just curious why it’s never listed with all those cases I’m sure others would like to know

How many are vaccinated and tested postive?

How many Non Vaccinated and tested positive?

This information is in the article. I’ll copy and paste it below:

In providing information on vaccination status, the Ministry said, “Imported cases: 47 [76%] are fully vaccinated and 15 [24%] are not vaccinated. Local/Under Investigation cases: 103 [25%] are fully vaccinated and 307 [75%] are not vaccinated. Hospitalised cases: 0 [0%] are fully vaccinated and 10 [100%] are not vaccinated.”

      So,

25% of local cases are vaccinated, even though the vaccinated represent about 2/3 of the population

75% of the local cases are unvaccinated, even though they represent about 1/3 of the population

Doing some basic math, one can see that the risk of being an active case in Bermuda right now has been 6 times higher for the unvaccinated

And, so far, every single hospitalized patient is unvaccinated.

Numbers from the US, UK, Canada, Israel and others look pretty much the same

  5. Transparency says:

Just to shed light for those that are curious

How many cases were postive and vaccinated?

How many were Non Vaccinated and postive?

    • Toodle-oo says:

Or better yet , how many hospitalized in serious condition by vaxed and nonvaxed .

      • Joe Bloggs says:

        I repeat:

The key takeaway for the conspiracy theorists is this:

“According to data from the Ministry, … as far as hospitalizations … 0% are fully vaccinated.”

      • Carlos says:

This is in the article. There are 10 hospitalized patients. All of them are unvaxxed.
