BFA: Charity Cup & Dudley Eve Trophy Matches

The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has announced the beginning of the football season, with opening dates of the Charity Cup and Dudley Eve Trophy matches.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association has announced the beginning of the football season with opening dates of the Charity Cup and Dudley Eve Trophy. The BFA wishes to remind all fans attending football matches, that venues have been issued guidelines due the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

“The required guidelines implemented are as follows:

  • All matches will be Safe Key events. All persons must provide their Safe Key along with a valid ID upon arrival.
  • All persons must wear a mask when entering and moving around the facility
  • Each venue has been approved to allow a designated number of fans inside the grounds during football matches. Once that number has been reached, no additional fans will be allowed into the facility
  • Players and fans are reminded that each club has established its match operations area [bubble] which can only be assessed exclusively by the players, coaches, match officials and the clubs own match operations personnel. Everyone is reminded to respect this bubble before, during and immediately following the match.

“The BFA is understands how important football remains to the social and personal wellbeing of participants and fans of the game. It is important that fans follow these guidelines to ensure that football in Bermuda may continue to operate.

“The Bermuda Football Association Competitions Committee would like to announce the upcoming Charity Cup match and Dudley Eve Trophy matches will commence this weekend.

“Dudley Eve Trophy Play-Off: Hamilton Parish WC vs Young Men’s Social Club – 6:30pm at National Sports Centre.

“Charity Cup: Robin Hood vs Devonshire Rec. – 9:00pm at National Sports Centre.

Monday, September 6, 2021

“Dudley Eve: Devonshire Colts vs St. George’s CC – 2:30pm at Bernard Park and [WSSC] Dandy Town vs Somerset CC – 5:00pm at Bernard Park.

Wednesday, September 8, 2021

“Dudley Eve: Southampton Rangers vs Somerset Bridge RC – 6:30pm at National Sports Centre and North Village CC vs X-Roads WFC – 9:00pm at National Sports Centre.

“Tickets for these matches will be available on GPass.bm as well as at the gate. The BFA reminds fans that all matches will require fans to show their Safe Key and a valid ID to enter.

“There will no food being sold at National Sports Centre on Sunday, September 6. Fans are allowed to bring food and beverages in plastic bottles.”
