Video: Kole Hall Scores In Radcliffe FC Victory
Bermuda’s Kole Hall scored for Radcliffe FC as they recorded a 2 – 0 victory over Skelmersdale United in England.
The club’s match report said, “The Boro enter the draw for the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup after a 2-0 victory against Skelmersdale United at the Neuven Stadium.
“Lee Fowler’s side started off brightly in the first half, with former Oldham man Bobby Grant coming close to putting the home side in front. Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro played an over the top ball to the 31-year-old, he headed the ball down but it sneaked just wide of the post.
“Five minutes before half time, their dominance was rewarded with a goal through Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro. A cross was played into Bobby Grant who headed it into the path of the striker who wasted no time in putting the Boro one up with a calm finish into the bottom corner.
“In the second half, Matty Crothers was taken down on the edge of the box, giving the set-piece specialist a wonderful opportunity to get Radcliffe’s second. However, it wasn’t an FA Cup classic on this occasion, as his free kick was put over the bar.
“Substitute Andy Owens had another good chance for Radcliffe, hitting one off his laces from outside the box, his shot was tipped over the bar by an outstretched Ben Barnes who made a terrific save.
“Radcliffe wrapped up the game in the 90th minute, Kole Hall beat the offside trap to slot it past Barnes after being given acres of space, as the Skem defence stopped in their tracks calling for the offside.
“The game ended 2-0 to the Boro, a successful afternoon for Lee Fowler’s side, topped off with a second clean sheet of the season for Cam Belford.”
