Charities Share $35K From RUBiS Calendar
RUBiS Energy Bermuda Ltd. announced that nine local charities will share $35,000.00 generated from the proceeds of the 2021 RUBiS Calendar.
These charities are:
- Bermuda Bicycle Association.
- Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
- Bermuda Zoological Society.
- Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Bermuda.
- Friends of Hospice.
- Open Airways.
- P.A.L.S.
- Packwood Home; &
- SCARS [Saving Children & Revealing Secrets].
Mr. Jermaine Simons, Sales Manager of RUBiS, said: “We hope this donation will help each of these charities sustain their efforts to achieve their respective mission, especially during these challenging times.
“Due to the success of this initiative, we have elected to continue with the same format with the 2022 RUBiS Calendar, to ensure there is a benefit to not only various charities that have struggled with the prolonged Pandemic effects of 2021, but also to our valued customers with further fuel savings in 2022.”
A spokesperson added, “The upcoming RUBiS Calendar features $48.00 in various fuel savings that can be used throughout 2022. With a purchase price of $5.00, customers can enjoy more than 9 times the value in savings and ensure a worthy charity will receive the proceeds.
“The 2022 theme of the calendar will be honouring some of Bermuda’s ‘Heroes of the Pandemic’. Mr. Simons, said: “Unfortunately, we couldn’t represent every hero category that helped us navigate this once-in-a-century pandemic, but the selection chosen by the various RUBiS Service Station employees is a fair representation. As a twist, we allowed the selected Pandemic Hero Groups to choose which charities will be the beneficiaries of the proceeds from the 2022 RUBiS Calendar proceeds.”
“The 2022 RUBiS Calendar is expected to begin arriving in stations on Tuesday, 23rd November, with all stations having inventory by Friday, 26th November.
