Dockyard Glassworks Closing Dockyard Location
The Dockyard Glassworks said they will be closing their Dockyard location as they “cannot keep up financially without more of a tourism presence.”
In a post on social media, the company said; “It is with a heavy heart we announce our closing our Dockyard Location as we cannot keep up financially without more of a tourism presence. So we have been moving out of the location and are still looking for a new home. Once we have a place to go we will announce here and on other social media about that.
“We have to leave behind a lot of good things, and if your interested in a few large desks, shelves and other oddities please come up to see us tomorrow in Dockyard. While your there make sure to check out what the rest of Dockyard has been up to this holiday season
“We will be opening up the online gallery/shop once we find a way to get our pieces safely stored. Check out the Art Center in Dockyard as they will have some of our pieces available for you all”
The Closing of the Dockyard Glassworks is sad to read about. I looked forward to visiting the Glassworks, every time I arrive on a cruise ship.
Hopefully, the cruise ships will start returning to Bermuda soon, which some already have, and business from the tourists will rejuvenate. My husband and I are booked on an NCL ship in 2022.
