Manders Crowned MTM Masters Champion
Gavin Manders and David Thomas recently competed in the Manders Tennis Management Christmas Bowl Masters Final at the Fairmont Southampton tennis courts.
Manders and Thomas shared some fierce battles in years past, and the first set of this encounter was no different. Both battled the conditions of high winds and sand blowing against a tough opponent.
Both players were on serve in the first set and it needed a tie-breaker to decide, with Manders coming out on top 7-6.
In the second set, Manders had things just a little more his way as he claimed the title by winning 6-1.
In other matches, Tariq Simons defeated Benjamin Jones in straight sets 6-2, 6-4, and Bobby Bart defeated Chris Weeks in straight sets 6-0, 6-2.
