Police Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Collision

The police are appealing for information about, or witnesses to, the fatal collision that claimed the life of a 26-year-old man on Christmas Day.

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service [BPS] is seeking the public’s assistance with the investigation into that fatal road traffic collision, which occurred on Palmetto Road, Pembroke, just east of its junction with Bishop Spencer Road, around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday 25th December, 2021.

“The collision involved two private motorcars and a motorcycle driven by a twenty-six-year-old male, who subsequently died at King Edward Hospital, while receiving treatment for head, groin and leg injuries, sustained in the crash.

“One of the motorcar drivers a thirty-five-year-old male who left the scene, was subsequently arrested after he was found at a Middle Road, Devonshire, residence. Neither he nor the other motorcar driver were injured.

“Anyone who may have witnessed, or who may have any information on this incident, is asked to call Inspector Paul Simons, of the Roads Policing Unit on 717-0933. Alternatively, you may also call 211 or, the main police number, 295-0011.”
