Campaign To Raise Funds For Math Camps
Planet Math and Equilibria Capital Management have partnered to launch a drive to fund 500 scholarships for two-week math camps during the summer of 2022 for children aged 5 to 12-years-old, with Equilibria Capital Management donating $30,000 to start the campaign.
A spokesperson said, “Planet Math and Equilibria Capital Management have partnered to launch a drive to fund 500 scholarships for two-week summer math camps during the summer of 2022.
“Each scholarship will allow children between the ages of 5 and 12 to attend two weeks of stimulating math activities operated by Planet Math. The camps will run from 9:00am to 3:30pm during July and August and will focus not only on further developing children’s math skills, but will also include language, art, and reading, as well as STEM-related and outdoor activities.
“Equilibria Capital will fund the first 50 scholarships and, together with the Planet Math team, will work toward the goal to fund the remaining 450 scholarships from the Bermuda business community. The full scholarship drive aims to raise a total of $300,000.”
