Vaccination/Booster Programme Resumes Today

January 5, 2022

The vaccination/booster programme at Pier Six is resuming today [Jan 5] and booster appointments can be booked online.

Speaking at last night’s [Jan 4] test results, a Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry also notes that the vaccination/booster programme at Pier Six resumes tomorrow [January 5, 2022], and booster appointments can be booked for weekdays at Pier Six from tomorrow.

“As a reminder, those individuals who are 65 and over and those who are eligible for a booster [as their second shot was more than six months ago], should take advantage of this opportunity to get vaccinated. If you are 65 and over, you do not need an appointment at Pier Six.”

The programme had been paused from Christmas Eve to allow a “rest period for the vaccination programme staff from Dec. 24, 2021 – Jan. 4, 2022.’

As of the most recent statistics, Bermuda has administered a total of 115,145 vaccinations; 72.4% of the population has received one dose, 71.0% have had two doses, while 34.9% of the population has also received a booster.
