Cyclists Compete In Dominican Republic Stage 4
Bermudian cyclists Conor White, Liam Flannery, Zander Miller, Nicholas Narraway, and Dominque Mayho continued racing the XLIII Vuelta Ciclística Independencia Nacional in the Dominican Republic.
The fourth day of racing began in Santo Domingo heading to Samaná passing with a 178-kilometer tour.
White was the top Bermuda rider on the day crossing the line in 31st, with a time of 4:05:18, he finished 1 minute, and 30 seconds behind the stage winner Brayan Gomez, Narraway crossed the line 34th with the same time as White. Flannery finished 60th, with a time of 4:06:47, he was 2 minutes and 59 seconds behind the winner, while Miller and Mayho finished with the same time of 4:11:38 in 97th, and 98th.
Narraway continues to lead the Bermuda team overall, he currently sits in 32nd place with a time of 16:49:19, he is 3 minutes and 52 seconds behind the overall leader Gomez who has a time of 16:45:27.
White is 35th overall with a time of 16:49.50, Mahyo is currently in 73rd clocking a time of 17:05:20, while Miller is 75th with a time of 17:08:39, and Flannery is in 83rd clocking 17:13:43.
Narraway remains in 6th in the Under 23 Division, he is 3 minutes and 7 seconds behind the current Division leader, Miller is 18th, and Flannery is 22nd.
Team Bermuda moved up to 10th place with a four-day total time of 50:39:38.
