Search Warrant Executed, Drugs & Cash Seized

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in Pembroke where a “quantity of controlled drugs, suspected to be cocaine, and drug paraphernalia” and a “quantity of cash” was seized.

A police spokesperson said, “On Wednesday, 9th February 2022, officers from the Bermuda Police Service Tactical Operations Division executed a search warrant at a residence on Deepdale Road, Pembroke, as part of an ongoing operation.

“During the exercise led by Sergeant Blackman-St John, a quantity of controlled drugs, suspected to be cocaine, and drug paraphernalia were seized under the Misuse of Drugs Act. A quantity of cash was also seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Investigations remain ongoing. No further information will be provided at this time.”

Inspector Shakisha Minors of the Tactical Support Division explained, “In keeping with the Bermuda Police Service’s continued efforts aimed at making Bermuda safer, this enforcement activity was in support of ‘Operation Sole’, to detect and disrupt criminal activity in affected areas and reduce violent crime.
