Four men were arrested during a police operation that began with a traffic stop in Flatts and led to additional arrests and suspected drugs being seized at a Pembroke residence.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 1:25 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, Police officers on mobile patrol had cause to stop a motorcar travelling east along North Shore Road, Flatts Village, Smith’s.

“Checks revealed the 31-year-old male motorcar driver was operating the vehicle while disqualified from driving. He was arrested and transported to the Hamilton Police Station, where a search of his person led to the recovery of a large quantity of controlled drug.

“The subject was further arrested for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply. The arrest of this individual resulted in the execution of a warrant under the misuse of drugs act at a Pembroke residence, where more suspected controlled drugs were seized and a 40-year-old male arrested.

“Two other men aged 23 and 24, found at the residence, were arrested for outstanding warrants.”

Inspector Roger Saints of the Bermuda Police Service, Tactical Operations Unit said, “We wish to thank members of the public for their patience and cooperation during any disruption to their weekend routine while officers effected these arrests. What might seem an inconvenience, is actually meant to ensure your safety.

“Further, this particular matter once again highlights the importance and value of traffic stops. What began as a routine traffic operation resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of illegal drugs.”
