Video: Endeavour Partners With Waterstart
Endeavour is working with other local organizations to offer training and career development opportunities that prepare young people for working in the maritime sector, and the video below highlights their work with Waterstart.
A spokesperson said, “Endeavour, a registered charity and non-profit that engages diverse youth across Bermuda in experiential learning that builds their confidence and life skills, partners with the Bermuda College Professional and Career Education [PACE] Division to equip young Bermudians with training and skill development opportunities that prepare them for working in the maritime industry.
“The Endeavour Maritime Career Springboard Programme is a seven-week career development initiative that equips Bermudian youth ages 16 and older who are seeking employment and interested in a maritime career with training opportunities and maritime career connections.
“A key goal of the programme is to increase awareness of different career possibilities, expand their network, and prepare them to be successful in their job search. Endeavour’s marine partners support the programme by sharing invaluable knowledge and information that inspires young Bermudians who are interested to work in the maritime industry.
“Waterstart is one of Endeavour’s valued marine partners that hosts young Bermudians who are part of the Endeavour Maritime Career Springboard cohort for interactive career site visits and career shadow opportunities at Burt’s Island exploring Waterstart’s incredible sustainability and youth development initiatives while learning more about ocean-centred career opportunities.”
