CG Insurance Donation Initiative Extended
CG Insurance is extending their ‘Renew. Save. Donate’ initiative “after proving to be an effective way to support the work of local charities.”
A spokesperson said, “CG Insurance has chosen to extend their ‘Renew. Save. Donate’ initiative after proving to be an effective way to support the work of local charities.
“The ‘Renew.Save.Donate’ initiative, launched in November of 2021, allows CG clients who renew their home or motor insurance policies through the online portal to either keep or donate an automatic discount.
“The discount is given to CG clients for simply renewing their policies through the online portal at hellogci.com. The charities that were chosen for the launch of this initiative were The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, The Reading Clinic, Keep Bermuda Beautiful and The Family Centre.
“The selection of these charities emerged from CG’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme’s main pillars: Education, Health, Environment and Community Welfare and Economic Development. Since launching the ‘Renew.Save.Donate’ initiative, CG Insurance has helped facilitate over $3,000 of donations divided amongst the selected charities.”
Damian Pitcher, the CG Insurance Assistant General Manager for Property and Casualty, said, “We have seen a generous surge in our clients who have graciously chosen to donate their discount to local charities, and because of this, we felt it necessary to continue our commitment to our community by extending this campaign and choosing a new set of local charities to support.”
The spokesperson said, “As of Tuesday, March 1st, CG Insurance relaunched this initiative with a new set of local charities to benefit from the continuation of this programme. Using CG’s CSR pillars, the following charities will include Bermuda Education Network, Focus Counselling, Greenrock and Meals on Wheels.
“The process is simple. CG clients who renew their home or motor insurance policy through the online portal at hellocgi.com will receive an automatic discount on their premium at the online ‘checkout.’ At that point, the client is presented with the option to keep or donate their discount. If they choose to donate, a dropdown box appears with four local charities displayed. The selected charities will be available as options for the discount donation until May 31st, 2022.”
